Automated pizza saucer is the dumbest thing I've seen today Feb 1st 2013, 01:00 It’s only a matter of time before the Matrix becomes reality, and our laziness isn’t doing us any favors. We can’t even put sauce on our own damn pizzas anymore. I’m not sure where this is, but I know Costco has these *ingenious* devices. Ignore the fact that this takes at least 3x as long as a man with a ladle, the strangest thing about this is that after the precision saucing of the pizza dough, a pile of cheese is just dumped on top. Even if he was to perfectly distribute the mozzarella around the pie, there’s certainly some intense sauce displacement due to the one-pound power pile. I have to assume the perfect sauce slathering was the intent because it can’t be that much of a time saver do automate one pizza at a time. In that case, why would you ruin such a masterpiece? Koala water bottle ditches the bike cage for magnets Feb 1st 2013, 00:20 If you ride a bike, you’ve probably got a water bottle holder bolted to the frame. And you also probably have five or six spare water bottles at home, because you know you’re going to wipe out and lose them, or be distracted by that whole “not being killed” thing and put it in the cage just wrong enough for it to fall out without you noticing. The Koala water bottle decides to just stop screwing around and use what nerds use to solve all their problems: magnets. The Koala bottle comes in two parts. First, there’s a cradle you bolt to your bike, which is fairly standard stuff. Build into the cradle are magnets, and around the bottle is a metallic ring. Here’s the obligatory video: Place, click, done. The magnets pull the bottle to them, and make it easy to just grab the bottle while cycling. No stuffing it into a cage, no losing a bottle, nothing. Even better, you don’t have to buy a special bottle. You can just buy the rings, and stick them to bottles of your choice. We haven’t heard much from The Hills villains Spencer Pratt and Heidi Montag in a while. A few years ago, these two idiots were all over the tabloids, whether it was for Heidi’s atrocious plastic surgery or Spencer’s insane 9-11 conspiracy theories. And then, near the end of last year, they went quiet. What happened? Well, a recent interview with Heidi reveals that they basically spent all of their money. Not terribly surprising, because that’s what rich Hollywood idiots do, but what’s hilarious is the reason why. The couple did an interview with OK! Magazine in the U.K. that delivered this awesome nugget from Spencer. “We made and spent at least 10 million dollars. The thing is, we heard that the planet was going to end in 2012. We thought, we have got to spend this money before the asteroid hits.” Well, there we go. I always wondered who was actually dumb enough to believe the whole Mayan calendar end of the world thing, and now we know: Spencer Pratt is dumb enough. He admits to spending over $10 million in just a few years, frequently giving valets triple-digit tips, buying cars for friends and generally pissing it away as easily as he earned it. Thankfully, though, it looks like he learned a lesson from the whole ordeal. “Here's some advice, definitely do not spend your money thinking asteroids are coming. But the world didn't end.” Okay, duly noted. Pratt and Montag just finished a stint on the UK’s version of Celebrity Big Brother where they came in second place.
