'Star Trek: Into Darkness' Super Bowl commercial Feb 4th 2013, 15:20 Oh, this looks like some really good stuff. Amidst all of the commercials for dumb junk at the Super Bowl, there were some gems. One of the most satisfying was the new clip for Star Trek: Into Darkness, which featured more shots of Benedict Cumberbatch’s mysterious villain John Harrison. This dude is obviously possessed of some serious mojo that he’s set to destroying the Federation. The new trailer is wall-to-wall chaos, with the Enterprise crashing into the middle of a city and explosions galore. With Abrams pegged to head up the Star Wars franchise as well, all eyes are going to be on Star Trek: Into Darkness when it opens on May 17th.
