'Resident Evil: Revelations' headed to Xbox, PS3, Wii U, and PC Jan 24th 2013, 15:20 What was once a 3DS exclusive is coming to help get rid that nasty taste out of your mouth, the one caused by Resident Evil 6. But, seriously, RE6 was such a stinker that Capcom clearly had to do something to salvage the reputation of franchise. And given that it’s going to be a while before we see part 7, it makes sense to take the one of for the 3DS, which was fairly awesome, yet hampered by the platform (control-wise I mean), and give it a visual spit-shine… Though the original is none too shabby in the looks department either. And here’s a fun fact: Revelations was originally going to be Resident Evil 6 proper. Shoulda stuck to the original plan, Capcom. At any rate, the updated version will come loaded with a new difficulty setting, new enemies, and new means to customize one’s weaponry. Though it won’t be in 3D, which truth be told, is hardly a loss. Sadly, going by the comments in the YouTube clip, it appears that the damage to Resident Evil‘s reputation might already be done… YouTube I mean, Jesus, that’s the President talking.
