Is Ricky Gervais ever going to rise to the heights of the original British The Office again? If he keeps making shows like Derek, I don’t think so. Originally airing on Channel 4 in the UK, the show will be coming to the States as a Netflix exclusive in 2013. It stars Gervais as the titular Derek, a mentally deficient older fellow who works at a retirement home. And judging by this trailer, it looks like a massive turd. “Never go full retard” is one of those lessons that nobody seems to learn.
