Time for yet another video game related history lesson, but this one is guided by hip hop.

Yesterday I passed along a sample-heavy, audio history lesson that covered just Nintendo. Today’s kind of the same, but kind of different; it’s a survey of all the instances in which rappers have mixed game audio with their rhymes.

Surely more is out there than what’s accounted for, but SPIN did a pretty damn job covering their bases…

So what’s the big take away here? More folks need to sample Chrono Trigger. Also, it’s kinda odd that Busdriver, who covered Parappa The Rapper, was included…
