And when it comes to a popular, basic cable show totally selling out, to hawk some bid-budget video game, there have been worse examples.
Last night Robot Chicken premiered the following spot, for Sony’s Smash Bros clone, PlayStation All-Stars: Battle Royale…
The kids all absolutely love the spot to death, and some even say it’s better than the recent live action spot. Which is pretty much the dumbest sentiment ever. And this coming from a fairly hardcore Robot Chicken fan; the above does very little for me.
Anyhow, it’s finally out, and even though I managed to turn a corner on the game, there’s still no denying that it’s a blatant copycat of Nintendo’s mascot brawler. Though many still argue otherwise.
Desturctoid recently tried arguing such a point. Sorry, but all those other examples they cite (well, most) don’t count because they don’t feature characters from many other games, all together.
With the lone exception being DreamMix TV, but at least kudos for bringing it up in the first place. Not enough people know about that game in which Optimus Prime beats up Solid Snake…
