I’m talking about all the killer Grand Theft Auto radio stations, of course.

There are many reasons to love GTA, but for me, it’s the in-game radio content. Because if you’re going to run over hookers with a stolen cop car, you’ll need the right audio to get those juices properly flowing. For me, it’s pretty much anything on Chatterbox.

Which is why I’m so excited that Rockstar has decided to produce a stand alone app that dishes up most of the radio stations found in GTA III, GTA Vice City, GTA Liberty City Stories, GTA Vice City Stories, GTA San Andreas, and GTA IV.

Not everything is included, like certain songs; I’m guessing licensing issues is the culprit. Hopefully those will get ironed out and the missing bits will join the package in the form of updates.

Unfortunately there’s two issues with the app. First, the audio quality is a bit grainy from what I understand. Wouldn’t know since I’ve yet to experience it, and that brings up problem number two: it’s Android only. Which sucks for me, being an iPhone user and all.

Anyhow, all you folks with a Nexus whatever the hell, Droid whatever the f*ck, or that one Samsung phone that’s basically the size of a 2 month old baby, you’ve won this round. For now; hopefully an iOS version is on the way.
